External Comments

Community Development > Inspections > Inspection List/Search > Inspection Details

The Comments field on the Inspection Details page has been expanded and moved to the left side of the page, and an ClosedExternal Comments field has been added to the right side of the page.

The External Comments field contains read-only inspection comments that contractors have added through ePermits, as noted in a Closedpop-up when you hover over the External Comments field label.

All external comments, including all edited versions of the same comment, with corresponding dates and users, are retained on the ClosedHistory tab.

When an inspection is canceled or removed, the external comment is removed.

Note: An inspection may be canceled or removed from the Inspection List/Search page. An inspection also may be canceled from the Schedule Inspection dialog and from myInspections.

External comments also are included in the Inspection Comments section of the ClosedInspection Worksheet.
